Crime Log

Calls for service made to the Iowa State University Police Department which require a completed incident report, follow-up investigation, or other formal action are entered into our Crime Log. This log is available for public viewing on this web page in accordance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act).

For details regarding how reports are made, handled, and for the total number of reported incidents in a year, please visit our Annual Security Report.

ISUPD assigns a case number for all reports, both criminal and non-criminal. Only case numbers generated for incidents requiring a full incident report, follow-up investigation, or other formal action are listed in the log. Crimes are listed in order by the date on which they were reported, and in compliance with the Clery Act, the Crime Log is updated for the previous 60 days. The most recently reported crimes are at the bottom of the list.  These reports include crimes occurring within the patrol jurisdiction of the ISUPD as well as those occurring within the Iowa State campus geography.  In addition, crimes reported to another campus security authority will be included on the crime log.
