Field Services

The Field Services function of Iowa State University Police is responsible for providing a variety of protective and security services designed for the preservation of life and personal safety of the university customer and the protection of personal and university property. Field Services strives to prevent crime by community-oriented policing and visible patrol methods.

Field Services is comprised of a captain, three patrol lieutenants, three patrol sergeants, and several patrol officers for each shift. Officers patrol by:

Vehicle
Bike
Foot

Field Services is also comprised of a 24-hour communications center and a Special Events and Training Lieutenant.
