  • General patrol
  • Traffic enforcement
  • Criminal investigations
  • Computer forensics
  • Personal threat assistance

  • Victim / Witness services

Trained full and part-time employees supplement agency operations. Pursuant to state statutes, Iowa State University police officers possess full powers to detain, investigate, and arrest. Jurisdictional authority is state-wide in matters involving Iowa State University. Mutual aid agreements with other law enforcement agencies may result in the extension of enforcement authority beyond university boundaries.

The ISU Police Division is a professional, nationally recognized police agency. Iowa State University police officers continue to receive the same training and certification as officers at police units throughout the state. Our primary goal is to provide the highest level of safety.
